Bergman’s house to become cultural haven
STOCKHOLM: A Norwegian businessman has bought late filmmaker Ingmar Bergman’s secluded Faro island home for an undisclosed sum, according to the Swedish media on Friday.
Swedish daily Dagens Nyheter cites the director’s daughter, Linn Ullman, as saying that Norwegian archaeologist, inventor and entrepreneur, Hans Gude Gudesen, has bought the property.
According to the report, those working in film, music, theatre, literature and photography will be able to seek scholarships to live and work at the estate for certain periods of time. – Sapa-AP
