NOT so long ago Cosatu called for the food sector to be nationalised.
Cosatu’s general secretary Zwelinzima Vavi has now called for the nationalisation of the South African Reserve Bank.
The SACP secretarygeneral has also made its voice heard and called for the nationalisation of commercial banks.
And ANC Youth League president Julius Malema called for nationalisation of the mining sector.
What are the SACP, Cosatu and ANCYL going to think of next? Will they threaten to nationalise the retail industry, road transport and national supermarkets?
Haven’t we had enough rhetoric?
I can’t help shouting: “Long live capitalism, down with nationalisation.”
