Enter now for Triple Challenge

-

THE Triple Challenge is celebrates its eighth birthday on Sunday, November 15.

The event comprises a 22km off-road run from the start at Polly Shorts Spar, Pietermaritzburg, to the first transition point at Camperdown, followed by a 55km mountain bike leg through the Valley of a Thousand Hills to Inanda Dam and the second transition point – at which stage athletes can either choose a 20km paddling leg on Inanda Dam (the Multisport race) or a 7km trail run (the MultiX race). Participants may enter as individuals, or in various team combinations.

The initial concept of the event was to combine a section of each of the famous Pietermaritzburg to Durban endurance challenges – the Comrades Marathon, the Amashovashova Cycle Classic and the Dusi Canoe Marathon into a one-day, multi-disciplined event to create a unique multisport event.

The Triple Challenge has reached the status of being an event of its own standing and attracts athletes from around the country to take on the 100km ultra.

For further event details, or to submit your entry, log on to www.triplechallenge.co.za or contact the race office at 033 386 0815. Entries close at 5pm on Monday, November 9.
