VERIFY INNUENDO THAT ANC GOVERNMENT UNABLE TO PROTECT US

-

“ISIS wants you” (Sunday Tribune, March 1) refers. So much has been said and written about the spy cable leaks, and Isis.

It seems there are enemies of the state, possibly a journalist or two, in the pocket of foreign spy networks working to expose the ANC government as incapable of securing the country from terrorism. It is no coincidence that Peter Fabricius, with Nabeelah Shaikh, should tailor a front page story and leader page and milk that theme about an alleged recruitment by Isis or al-Qaeda.

All I read is innuendo. No facts but a defined pattern of distraction from the culprits who seek to destabilise our democracy through deception and innuendo.

As a South African, I challenge the Tribune and its reporters to furnish its readers as well as the government with verifiable information.

The link between these bizarre stories and the #spycable leaks is no convenient construct but a deliberate distraction to move focus away from Israeli intelligence operatives practising their craft while our authorities watch with eyes wide shut!

It’s no coincidence South Africa is the spearhead of the campaign of boycotts, divestment and sanctions against apartheid Israel. The front page double header is as despicable as those who seek to render the ANC incapable of securing the safety of South Africans.

The way it is couched it’s like every South African Muslim is ready to sign up with the authorities incapable of stopping this.

South Africa, in conclusion, is a fertile recruiting ground for former army personnel turned soldiers of fortune like those who have joined in the fight against Boko Haram in Nigeria. In Iraq, as in Israel, there are South Africans serving to prop up an evil dispensation that reminds us of what we experienced two decades ago. Yes, Isis, if that story is verified is not the only recruiter as the #spycable saga has unearthed.

Shame on you!
