SATURN SHAKES SA

-

THERE will be a global financial crisis. Gold, silver and oil prices will continue to fluctuate, while unrest, terrorism and global warming will increase this year.

The whole world will be in turmoil, with the extent varying from one country to the next.

All countries will have financial problems. An undeclared recession will prevail in major economies and all currencies will be volatile against the US dollar, while resources values are in flux. Commodities prices may mark five to seven year lows in places such as India.

Civil unrest will strike some countries, while terrorism increases. There will also be a rapid rise in global warming.

On January 9, Rahu (a shadow planet in Vedic astrology) will be in transit in Leo after 18 years. With Jupiter currently in transit in Leo, the conjunction is bad – named Guru – Chandal Yog in Vedic astrology.

Meanwhile, Saturn is currently in transit over one of its most unfavourable signs, Scorpio. Scorpio is ruled by Mars, a fiery sign in Vedic astrology.

This will cause terrorist attacks, major accidents and natural disasters. We’ve already seen the effects of Saturn in Scorpio over the past year: the terrorist attacks in France, Madras flooding and the earthquake that rocked Nepal.

Such events will rise after January 9, with the planet configurations disrupting the Earth’s plate, resulting in a major earthquake that will hit Asian countries.

My astrological research indicates 95 percent of earthquakes take place:

1 At a full or new moon or 56 hours before or after.

2 When Jupiter or Saturn are retrograde.

3 Numerologically, when the dates on Jupiter total 3 – for they start.

For country predictions, the horoscopes of the country must be charted. The date of birth, time of birth and place of birth are needed. I calculated South Africa’s horoscope by taking April 27, 1994 (date of birth), 00.01 (time of birth) and Pretoria (place of birth), when the country became a democracy.

This points to Saturn ruling our country. So we are heavily affected by Saturn’s transit. That’s why 2015 was a bad year for us and 2016 will be even tougher.

Economic growth will slow down. As hopes dim, everyone should brace for hardship.

Most South African industries will slump. Companies will have to retrench staff. Strikes and unemployment will rise.

People will find it hard to repay loans or borrow from banks. Stock markets will remain volatile, while currency exchange markets will be unstable due to the period of global financial distress.

Crime, especially white-collar, will soar.

The only positive note to 2016 is an advance in technology, social media, new research and medication.

I recommend people save more for the year. Things will improve next year when Saturn transits Sagittarius.
