Love can find you anywhere

-

MERISHKA Singh, a Durban teacher, and New Zealand-based chartered accountant Cameron Moodley married at Ballito’s Collisheen Estate. HOW WE MET:

We met while Cameron was on holiday in South Africa. His cousin introduced us. He returned to New Zealand to complete his articles, but we kept up a long-distance relationship. It was a learning journey for both of us and, as the Chinese saying goes, “real gold is not afraid of the test of fire”. THE PROPOSAL AND WEDDING:

He caught me by surprise on a trip to uShaka Marine World. He got a local sand sculptor to write the words “will you marry me?” I said yes. Our marriage on January 10 was an intimate affair, with 200 guests.

The beautiful church structure and spiritual ambience made the moment very special. My vision truly became a reality: marrying the love of my life, in the dress of my dreams, at a picturesque venue. WEDDING BLACK BOOK:

Love is a verb, not just a feeling. And real love is based on a couple’s vows of commitment – “for better or for worse”.
