Written in the sand, cemented in love

-

TRISHANA Singh, a 29-year-old verification consultant, and Treven Singh, 30, both work in banking and come from Reservoir Hills. They were married at the local Hindu Seva Samaj Hall on March 26. HOW WE MET

We met at the gym in Reservoir Hills in 2011. I asked Treven to help adjust a seat on a cycling machine for me. His adorable smile was captivating. We would meet regularly at the gym after that. One thing led to another and now we are happily married. PROPOSAL AND WEDDING

We were out walking on Warner Beach, south of eManzimtoti, as we usually do on Sundays, when Treven wrote on the sand “Will you marry me, Trish?”

I took the stick from him and wrote “Yes”. Many hugs and kisses followed.

Our wedding, which was attended by 300 people, was a fairy-tale occasion filled with fun, colour and excitement.

The day started with a photo shoot at the Makaranga Lodge in Kloof, and ended with more pictures at the Point Waterfront. WEDDING BLACK BOOK Eastern Bridal Fair. New Savera, Durban. Teshar Jewellers, uMhlanga. Royal Style,

Doing our best to ensure that all went well on our wedding day, and that our family and friends were comfortable and well cared for during proceedings was our biggest concern. VIEWS ON LOVE AND MARRIAGE

Marriage is a blessing. We should make the most of our time together by expressing our love for each other, at least once a day.

Taking time to do simple things together and steering away from unnecessary fussing and fighting is the way to go.
