TOYOTA Corollas must be among the most excruciatingly nice cars on the road. Corollas are considered to be frugal, adequately powered, reliable and pretty comfortable.
However, they can be seen to be more efficient than they are “cool”. Form and function are certainly merits of this week’s featured car.
Avikar Oodit is a Durban BCom marketing, and mixed martial arts, student with an affinity for cars and automotive audio.
Oodit is also the very proud owner of this week’s “Sweet Ride”, which is a rather individually enhanced Toyota Corolla 140i.
Mechanically, Oodit’s car boasts a completely stock standard ultra reliable and fuel efficient 140i VVTI factory fitted powerplant.
The car’s performance has been enhanced, thanks to a 53mm performance freeflow exhaust system with the aesthetics of an RSi tip.
The suspension system had its springs custom cut to facilitate maximum functional lowered ride height. The Corolla further received a set of 17-inch TSW mag wheels which were custom spray painted and mated to a set of Goodyear low profile rubbers.
The exterior was enhanced to feature an HID lighting kit, LED fog lamps, a matt black dipped spoiler and mirrors, while its interior received some custom carbon fibre work on the door panels and on the centre console.
This Toyota also sports a range of cool graphics and tinted windows.
