Says Siphelele Buthelezi
elling around the world – including America, England and Dubai – to scoring a gig with Disney.
He has recorded a South African version of the official theme song of the Disney Junior movie, The Lion Guard.
“The competition gave me a platform and opened up great opportunities for me. I did a soundtrack for Disney which I can say is one of my career highlights.
“I have had a good time as an artist and I am dedicated and committed to doing well in the industry,” he said.
Mogane said he would be supporting both Khumalo and Shobede.
“Although I did not watch the entire season of the competition, I was impressed by their performances.
“I was with Thami in the competition last year. I liked Noma’s voice from the beginning. They both deserve this and that’s why I will be supporting them,” Mogane said.
After he won the competition, Mogane bought a house with the cash prize.
“I am a proud owner of a house. It was a good investment for me instead of spending money on useless things. I am also planning on going back to study business administration because music is business.”
Mogane’s new album is produced by legendary producer Robbie Malinga.
“I sing about love, mostly, and it has 10 tracks, which are all great.
“I was really honoured when I was told Robbie wanted to work with me. We all know his great work and everyone who works with him has hit songs.
“I know people will fall in love with this album.”
Although he sings about matters of the heart, he is still single.
“I sing about what I see based on other people’s experiences.
“Nobody has taken my heart yet, but if an opportunity presents itself, I will commit,” Mogane said.
