A good career awaits, how to banish dark forces in your home

-

PLEASE advise on my son’s career. He studied mechanics and is looking for a job. Is this the right career for him and what does his future hold? Will he move abroad? SP YOUR son’s birth chart shows a strong Saturn and Mercury presence – the planets are well placed. Generally, this equation is good for a career in the mechanical field. I’ve observed this in 90% of cases for people who have great success having chosen similar careers. So he is on the right path.

In the next 10 to 15 months he will get a good job, from an astrological perspective, provided other factors don’t block his destiny.

Venus is weak in his chart and sometimes places obstacles in his path. Because of this, he should donate about 6kg of kheer (rice, milk and sugar) to the poor, after making an offering to a favourite deity on the first Friday of June, September and October. He must do this for the next six years.

He must chant “Om Shree Durgaya Namah” for five minutes a day, fast on Fridays, and not eat food like pickles on those days.

DURING last year’s Diwali festival I met a foreign priest and we invited him home for supper. He told us there were bad forces in our home and we need to perform a special prayer, which was expensive. Please help us with the removal of the negative energy.

DO NOT believe the priest’s R S

assertion about bad forces without any supernatural evidence. A fine line separates psychological problems, coincidence and negative energies in a home.

The following could help determine if your home is haunted:

• A member of your family falls ill and medical science and an astrological chart cannot diagnose the problem.

• You hear odd noises, especially around midnight, when windows are shut and there is no logical explanation.

• There’s significant breakage of crockery and mirrors.

• Visitors find it difficult or uncomfortable to visit.

• During a new moon, there is inexplicable activity in the home.

If you’ve experienced all of the above, there is probably negative energy in your home.

However, if these odd occurrences are observed by only one member of the home, it might just be a psychological problem. To purify your home: • According to vastu, allow maximum sunlight and ventilation because negative energy forms live in dark, still places. Positive vastu energy will help expel the dark energy.

• Every member of the home should maintain a strict vegetarian diet for 108 days. If the negative forces are very strong, the fast should last 151 days.

• Avoid using strong perfume at this time because dark energy is attracted to smells.

• Keep your home tidy. Avoid a clutter of items you have not used for a few years.

• Spring clean every new moon.

• Replace rusted metal, burnt or damaged wood and broken mirrors.

• Read the Sunderkand for 108 consecutive days. Group readings will give you quicker results. Alternatively, read the Shree Hanuman Chalisa audibly 11 times a day.

• The Durga Saptshati and Bhagavad Gita are books you could read at this time and the person most affected should carry a pocket Gita.

• Shake off laziness and pray every day.

• Sprinkle Ganges River water frequently and keep cow urine and dung in the home.

• Plant the Tulsi (Devi ) plant on a raised platform, in a clean pot or cement structure, at home.

The spiritual importance for Hindus is that no diseases and messengers of Yama (the God of Death) can enter your home.

Wherever the aroma of Tulasi is carried by the wind, it purifies the atmosphere and frees animals from baser tendencies.

Vishnu, the lord of the Three Worlds, takes abode in the village or house where Tulasi is grown, and in those homes there are no calamities like poverty, illness or separations from loved ones (Padmapurana, Uttarakhanda, 6-24-31-32).

To counteract negative forces, you must develop your spirituality – anyone from outside who prays for the home will not be as effective as you can be.

These are powerful remedies, but your effort and faith are key to expelling the negative energy, without spending money.
