ART AL FRESCO A BIG HIT

THE annual Art in the Park at the Botanical Gardens in Pietermaritzburg celebrated it 55th anniversary this week. Artists from different parts of the country showcased a diverse range of works at the park.

Although it’s normally dominated by an exhibition of beautiful artworks, this year included children’s activities with a jumping castle, a live entertainment arena and food court. The event is still on today.

Artist Cindy Powell said she said loved depicting the fun side of life and was also conscious of social issues affecting women and children.

Veronica Herbert known for her bird paintings, never misses the exhibition.this year was her 21st showing at the park.
