A request over public holidays

FOR the past five years, we have been waiting for the ethekwini Municipality to collect rubbish after 9am on public holidays.

Many people get up late during holiday periods and forget to put bins outside for the council workers to collect.

But its seems as if those who work at the municipality are hard of hearing.

All over Phoenix and the surrounding areas, roads were scattered with rubbish by street kids, drug addicts and dogs as those who did not place rubbish bags outside on time just left them there.

Again, can the ethekwini Municipality start work after 9am on public holidays? ZAHIR DANBAR
