Bungles embarrass Durban at WEF

THE Sunday Tribune article last week headed “Durban attractions let city down” deserves an appropriately strong response.

We in Durban can boast of having one of the, if not the, best tourist hot spot, the popular Sky Car.

Regardless of what the international visitors view on the sky car, it is unacceptable for it to be out of order.

The riot act needs to be read and disciplinary action taken. As usual, I predict, this matter will fizzle out. It is not difficult to measure over a period the lost opportunity to influence tourists to come back to our city.

I am appalled and we citizens must not remain silent when this type of bungle occurs with hundreds of guests attending the World Economic Forum.
