Talk is cheap, DA needs to do more

THE article “DA’S Big 5 Plan can turn KZN around” (Sunday Tribune, May 14), in which DA MPL Ann Mcdonnel said the province was stuck in a perilous financial position as it tried to do more with less, refers.

Mcdonnel lists five areas to improve growth and create jobs.

Nothing in the article sets out concrete plans to turn around the economy, create jobs, reduce debt and reverse the country downgrade from junk status.

If the DA tackled wasteful spending and better monitoring of the tender system, it would have contributed better to doing more with less. Then again, solving problems is foreign to the DA. They only criticise, complain and run to the courts.
