Varsity sweethearts finally said ‘I do’

KASHVEER Karan, a business analyst at First Rand Bank, and Rohini Neerachand, a forensic auditor at PWC, both from Durban and now living in Joburg, married on May 27 at Amanzimtoti Civic Centre hall. HOW WE MET

We met on campus in 2008 and became really good friends. After a year-and-a-half of friendship, we decided to take our relationship to the next level and have not looked back. THE PROPOSAL & MARRIAGE

In September 2015, Kashveer planned a special date, which included a romantic boat cruise in Durban, to celebrate the fifth year of our relationship. He popped the question during an amazing sunset.

When we got back to land, he had organised a mini celebration party on the boat with our family and friends.

Trying to plan the function from a different province was a huge challenge, but thankfully our parents were there to assist us with co-ordination. VIEWS ON LOVE AND MARRIAGE

Marriage is a lifetime commitment between two individuals. It is an equal partnership which requires love, communication, respect and trust.

Marriage and love go hand in hand and we are fortunate enough to experience this wonderful journey together.
