Best place for a first date in the city? I enjoy the beach and the food at Moyo. So I guess Moyo ushaka Marine World.
What’s the first thing you do when you arrive in Durban from out of town? I visit all my college friends and try to spend as much time as possible with them because I miss them a lot when I’m away.
Best meal you’ve had in Durban, that’s not at home? Ujeqe wase Moyo (steamed bread).
What song (besides yours) can’t you stop listening to? Him by Sam Smith.
When was the last time you attended a music concert and who was performing? December 2, Cassper Nyovest’s Fill Up FNB Stadium concert.
If you were mayor for the day, what would you do? I would find as many people as I could help within 24 hours and do my best to turn their lives around.
Your favourite hangout spot in Durban? UKZN Jazz Centre, the BAT Centre and The Chairman.
Best place to let your hair down? Suncoast Casino beach area.
Who do you call when you want to have fun and where in the city do you go? My friends Melvin, Sandy, Khosi, Zoe and Mzamo. They always know where to take me.
Your favourite coffee shop? Gloria Jeans Coffee at Gateway.
Favourite Durban spot to shop? Refinery and Forever New at the Pavilion shopping centre.
Florida Road or Helen Joseph Road? Which is better? Florida Road, because I enjoy spending time at a social lounge called Zorka.
Which is your favourite market in Durban? The Workshop in town.
Which building in Durban would you like to own? The Beverly Hills Hotel in umhlanga.
What’s the one thing people need to stop doing in Durban? Taxi conductors need to stop bullying people who don’t want to get into their taxis.
When I was going home after school one day, a taxi conductor slapped me for not boarding his taxi. I was young at the time and had no idea what I could have done to correct the wrongdoing, so he got away with it.
Where is the best view of Durban? The top of Moses Mabhida Stadium.
Best place for a nightcap? The Royal Hotel.
What’s the one thing that differentiates Durban from other cities in South Africa? The party vibe – and tourism.
What do you do on a Sunday morning? I relax and sleep all day.
