We prayed for love and God answered

-

JEZEREEL Govender, the owner of Sonshine Auto Paints from Chatsworth, and Jasween Pillay, an accountant from Merebank, both 28, married on December 16 at the Faith Centre in Malvern. Their reception was held at Durban Botanic Gardens.

HOW WE MET

We were introduced at a friend’s party in 2016 and began dating. We could see this relationship was destined by God as everything fell into place – we knew we were soulmates.

THE PROPOSAL & WEDDING

Jezereel travelled to Joburg regularly for work and took me with once, telling me to be ready at 4am. We started hiking in the dark and, to my surprise, reached Kloofzicht Lodge in the Magaliesberg.

We went up in a hot air balloon and had champagne while watching the sun rise from the hot air balloon. Then he went down on one knee and proposed. It was the most magical moment of my life, apart from my wedding day, which was a fairy tale.

VIEWS ON LOVE AND MARRIAGE

We prayed we’d meet our life partners and God answered.

We’re grateful to our parents who have shown us how to love. We know marriage is a lasting bond created by God, who is leading the way.
