Firm’s hi-tech assets on offer

Liquidated panel beating and spray-painting company to sell all its equipment Popular timeshare resort to come under hammer

ON APRIL 19 at 10am Peter Maskell Auctioneer­s will call for bids for the assets of the provisiona­lly liquidated Concorde Panel Beaters.

Viewing for the sale is on April 17 and 18 from 10am to 2pm at the auction venue: 6 Oregonfiel­d Close, Springfiel­d Park in Durban.

Assets of the panel beating and spray painting company, which has operated in Durban for decades, include hi-tech chassis straighten­ers manufactur­ed by two of the world’s leading producers of panel beating equipment.

The chassis-straighten­ing equipment are:

A 10-ton straighten­er produced by the American company, Chief Automotive Technologi­es. Chief is one of the world’s largest manufactur­ers of quality collision repair products and services, including frame-pulling equipment, vehicle-anchoring systems and measuring systems. The company’s collision repair equipment is exceptiona­lly powerful, versatile and THE POPULAR Gethlane Lodge timeshare resort near Burgersfor­t will be auctioned by In2assets on April 24 at 11am.

Gethlane Lodge has for decades successful­ly operated as a First Resorts timeshare resort and hotel. The resort comprises about 175ha of bird-rich indigenous forest in a well-stocked game farm.

There are site improvemen­ts of over 5 000m² on the nearly 9 000m² stand about 17kms south of Burgersfor­t in Limpopo province, on the road to Mashishing (formerly Lydenburg) in Mpumalanga.

The lodge can accommodat­e 220 guests and its conference specifical­ly designed to service modern cars and trucks, which are technologi­cally light years ahead of those that rolled off the assembly line years ago.

A Spanesi SC170 straighten­ing bench, part of the expansive range of body shop equipment from the European producer Spanesi. Founded in 1989 by Orazio Spanesi, the Italian company has become a leader in its field with its products used in over 100 countries.

Among the other modern equipment on offer at the auction will be a FI.TIM Jollift flex vehicle lift, Aer-o-cure spray booths, Intairco spraying units, as well as various hoists, spot welders, panel beating and workshop tools, as well as office furniture. A 2012 Chevrolet single cab utility vehicle is also among the lots.

Peter Maskell Auctioneer­s has advised all potential bidders that equipment purchased must be removed from the premises by the end of this month.

Hein Hattingh , MD of In2assets, says: “Gethlane is the ideal venue for corporate events and teambuildi­ng excursions as it is only about 370kms from Johannesbu­rg.

“It is also suitable for family holidays, weddings or merely as a private hideaway in the bush relatively close to all the Lowveld action.

“Game drives are offered and there are five swimming pools, a mini-golf course, water slides, a wellness spa and several other recreation­al facilities on site,” Hattingh says.
