House, vacant stand in exclusive golf estate

AUCOR will auction an upmarket residence and a vacant stand in the prestigiou­s Prince’s Grant Golf Estate at its multi-property auction this month.

On April 24 at 10.30am in the Aucor boardroom at 16 Imvubu Park Place, Riverhorse Valley, the auction house will call for bids for a free-standing three-bedroom residence at 34 Blink Bonnie Lane, as well as Erf 182 in Prince’s Grant Estate.

Rona Pillay, who is handling the sale, says the house has a separate cottage on site, a swimming pool and double automated garage.

“The estate has 24-hour security and there are stunning views of the golf course and ocean from the house,” she says.

The 720m² vacant plot, zoned “Residentia­l 1”, is located slightly below road level in Prince’s Grant.

Prince’s Grant is 45km north of Durban and 20km from Ballito. On site is a four-star luxury lodge with fine dining, a swimming pool and an acclaimed golf course. Designed by Peter Matkovich, the course is rated as one of the top 20 in South Africa and a winner of the “Five Star Golf Experience Award”. Prince’s Grant property owners are automatica­lly afforded membership to the golf club.

The secluded beach and canoeing on the private lagoon are great escapes and there are nature trails with close to 250 bird species throughout the year.

Prince’s Grant has been named a site of “conservati­on significan­ce” and the developers have preserved the natural environmen­t by ensuring all garden areas contain only indigenous plants and trees.

Other facilities in the estate include squash and tennis courts, swimming pools, a conference centre and and a recreation centre.
