Priyanka will be a ‘Desi girl forever’

ACTRESS Priyanka Chopra, who has been busy with international projects, reminded Salman Khan that she was a “Desi girl forever” after he welcomed her on board for the Bollywood project Bharat with a quirky message:

“Bharat welcomes you back home Priyanka. See you soon. By the way humari film Hindi hai (our film is in Hindi),” Salman tweeted on Wednesday with a wink emoji.

Priyanka, who is teaming up with Salman on the big screen after a gap of 10 years, responded: “UP Bareilly ki hun janaab… Desi girl forever. Very happy to be a part of Bharat and see all of you on set.”

The actress, who shot to international fame with her role in the American TV show Quantico, got the epithet of

“Desi girl” with the eponymous song from her film Dostana. MEGASTAR Amitabh Bachchan has completed a decade of writing his blog, through which he stays connected with what he calls his “extended family”.

“10 years! April 17, 2008, a few words went out to the world on air and in the waves of connection, some carried a recognition of them and sent sentiments back, and the next and the next and the next and 10 years went by,” Big B wrote on his blog.

Of his fans and followers, Big B said:

“I knew no-one and neither did any of you and then we all came to know each other and built a home, the warmest and most hospitable in the entire world. Does 10 years need celebration? Why 10? Why not 11 or many more or other?” he said.
