Pearls of umhlanga development safe

-

Vivian Reddy’s development the Oceans umhlanga, which got muddled up with the Pearls of umhlanga on this newspaper’s letters page last week. I WRITE on behalf of the developers of the Pearls of umhlanga and refer to the letter titled “Corruption the new normal” by Peter Worman.

We are shocked that a respected publication like the Sunday Tribune would publish a letter from a member of public without checking facts.

In his letter, Worman states “Even that paragon of BEE, Vivian Reddy’s Pearls of umhlanga is being threatened, with business forums demanding a R200-million kickback”. The development that Mr Reddy is involved in is Oceans umhlanga and not the Pearls of umhlanga.

It is surprising that this important fact was overlooked, despite wide coverage in your regional sister titles, The Mercury and the Daily News.

The letter was accompanied by a rendered image of the Pearls of umhlanga.

It is important for you to note that the construction the Pearls has been completed.

The publishing of the incorrect information has done serious harm to the Pearls of umhlanga development and has resulted in buyers in the Pearls asking what effect the actions of the “business forums” will have on the development.

As a result, this has negatively affected sales that were about to be concluded, with the buyers expressing their concern about investing in the development that has become a target of the aforementioned “business forums”.

HANNAH FRANCIS Rainmaker Marketing On behalf of the Pearls of umhlanga Development

The Sunday Tribune unreservedly apologises to the developers of the Pearls of umhlanga for erroneously referring to the Pearls of umhlanga instead of the Oceans umhlanga.

The error is regretted.
