BMWS are one of the most coveted German sedans on South African roads today. The marque has, without a doubt, carved its way into both the hearts and pockets of many performance-obsessed auto enthusiasts in their pursuit of the “sheer driving pleasure” that is promised to drivers of these luxury performance vehicles.

Avishkaar Bhagwandass is the 29-year-old owner of this week’s featured vehicle, an awesome 2010

BMW 323i E90. Bhagwandass is a businessman living in Phoenix, north of Durban.

His 323i boasts a factory-fitted, fuel injected, straight-six cylinder power plant. He removed the catalytic converter – a popular hack for improving performance and installed a 76mm front-to-back performance exhaust system.

The exterior flaunts a full motorsport spoiler kit with a restrained number of on-body graphics. The look is completed by a set of high-gloss 17-inch BMW mag wheels mated to Pirelli run-flat rubbers.

The interior features BMW’S standard light grey leather.

They say that a young man’s car is seldom complete without a rocking acoustic set-up. This one pushes the bar with an installation that includes a fully customised airbrushed boot set-up. It comprises four 8-inch Targa subwoofers, a set of Pioneer Super tweeters, a pair of Pioneer 6-inch mids fitted to the boot lid, a 16000w Audiogods monoblock and Terminator 2 mid-range amplifier. There is also an inverter unit, an Optima Yellow

Top deep cycle battery and a capacitor to read battery. A high-level smoke machine, a laser lighting set-up, and an LED lighting in the boot and hood.

“When the boot is opened, it’s like a mobile disco,” said Bhagwandass, who is a proud member of the HLR crew (Hustle Loyalty Respect) performance car club, a local collective of likeminded auto enthusiasts.
