SINGING sensation Adrian Malcolm Sing is sweeping his fans off their feet. He discovered his love for singing when he was 12 and became the first musician in his family.

Sing, 33, lives in Durban with his wife, Roxanne and children David, 8, and Jade, 5. He is a pastor, musician and holds a degree in marketing and theology. He attends

Rhema Church in Greenwood Park, Durban and said he first developed an interest in music when he heard people perform in the church choir.

He is due to tour Malaysia, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur from May 17 to 28. Joining him will be Ashley Annapan, who plays the drums.

“I am excited about this tour,” said Sing. “I know great things will take place on this trip and many amazing opportunities will be opened to us for the future.”

Sing toured the US in September as well as Nigeria and Europe. In the past, he performed in Joburg, East London, Cape Town, Pretoria, Swaziland and Limpopo.

“I was trained in vocals at church and had some formal voice training when I attended a school of worship singing,” said Sing. “I also play the piano and drums.

“I write most of my songs, but I do collaborate with other musicians.”

He said he is inspired by American gospel singers Jonathan Stockstill, Israel Houghton, Travis Greene and Todd Dulaney – they all started singing in their local churches before they shot to fame.

Sing is a singer, songwriter and music composer for local and international films, and is also an actor.

He has been a presenter on TV and radio in Africa, USA, Europe and Asia. He is an ambassador for Metro World Child – a global, faith-based humanitarian organisation dedicated to serving inner-city children.

He works as a consultant to various companies with regards to customer and sales service and is also a motivational speaker.

He has released two albums – Unashamed in 2015 and Siyakukhonza in 2017. Next year he will tour USA, Australia and Canada.
