Never give up on falling in love

-

JO-ANNE Francis, 50, a financial adviser, and 48-year-old warehouse manager Pravesh Arjoon, married on April 28 at the Dongala Boutique Hotel.

HOW WE MET

We met on a dating site in February 2015. I sent a smile to indicate I liked his picture and he responded. From there it escalated to SMS and telephone calls, then eventually visits between East London and Ladysmith. I guess that proves one can find love in the most unexpected places.

THE PROPOSAL AND WEDDING

On my December 2016 visit to Ladysmith, we decided to take the final step. He surprised me by going down on one knee in front of my mother. I was overcome with joy. We decided on a Hindu temple wedding on April 27 and the Christian wedding and reception the next day.
