Hospitals getting worse under ANC

-

THE continuing woes of the Kwazulu-natal Department of Health must be placed at the doorstep of MEC Sibongiseni Dhlomo and the ANC, who are not willing to accept responsibility, and I doubt anyone would disagree.

In the 24 years of ANC rule, hospital services have not improved; they have worsened.

We hear of so many complaints of medical negligence from the public.

Dhlomo and Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi are both responsible for employing comrades and others who are not capable of delivering proper health services.

It is one of the reasons we have incompetent and inefficient hospital services and so many medical claims against the Health Department for negligence claims.

Meanwhile, Motsoaledi is hellbent on introducing the national health insurance, even though he cannot fix hospitals that are in dire need of upgrading and better staffing.

Motsoaledi and Dhlomo have both failed in their respective portfolios and I don’t believe anything will improve under them.

South Africans will have to tolerate current public health services.

Funds redirected to pay medical negligence claims in Kwazulunatal and in the other provinces amounting to millions of rand have made taxpayers poorer.
