If it’s white sandy beaches and warm waters you’re after, Kenya’s got you covered. Of the half dozen or so worldclass beach towns around the country, Watamu is the most outstanding. Part of the Malindi Marine Reserve Park, which is a protected area, Watamu is home to green and hawksbill turtles. With a largely untouched coastline, Watamu’s pristine conditions are great if you’re looking for a quiet beach where you can peacefully tan and swim in the ocean.
