BABY X’S MOTHER WAS SENTENCED TO THE FOLLOWING COUNTS:

12 years for murder

10 years for assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm (GBH) 10 years for two counts of child abuse for starving and tying her to the bed

10 years for child abuse by allowing her to be sexually assaulted by her now deceased co-accused (Baby X’s grandmother) 5 years for failing to provide her with medical assistance

2 years for child abuse for teaching and making her son (then aged 11) to beg

2 years for child abuse for teaching and making her daughter (Baby X’s sibling, then aged 8) to beg

2 years for child abuse for failing to provide medical assistance to her son

5 years for child abuse for allowing her son to be sexually assaulted by her now deceased co-accused (Baby X’s grandmother) 5 years for assault GBH of her son
