Hammer working overtime

IN2ASSETS had an exceptional start to 2019 with its first auction achieving a turnover of over R115 million, says managing director Hein Hattingh. The Durban auction on February 7 attracted 37 registered bidders.

“It was one of the most successful auctions In2assets has ever staged – and it was held when there is so much negativity about the economy. This is the first time we have ever started a new year with such high demand for commercial and industrial property.”

Of 16 properties on auction, 75% were sold, including three abattoirs and commercial and industrial buildings in Durban CBD. An industrial property in Westmead fetched R38m.

In2assets used live streaming to three different venues across the country to allow bidding from outside Durban.

In2assets’ next property auction will be on March 13 at 11am at the Durban Country Club.
