JANINE MOODLEY, a 30-year-old journalist from Newlands West, and Reservoir Hills’ Sachin Govender, a 30-year-old software tester, married on December 1 at the Eagle’s Cry Wedding and function venue, Tongaat, north coast.
HOW WE MET
Through his younger brother, Adrian. We were friends on social media until we went on a coffee date. The chemistry was immediate.
THE PROPOSAL AND WEDDING
We’re both adventure junkies and Sachin planned a sky-diving outing. When I landed, he proposed on bended knee.
Amid the tears, I said yes. Later, 150 guests attended our wedding at the edge of a lake.
BIGGEST CHALLENGE
The weather, since it was outdoors. Reports predicted thunderstorms but Sachin and I prayed and God answered.
