HEAD TO MIDLANDS FOR SOME VERY HUNGRY CARP

- SHEETAL CROSS info@sheetalcross.com

ANGLING

Conditions: Mostly cloudy, with a shower in the area this afternoon.

Rock and Surf: The carp fishing has been particularly good over the past week. The dams in Kwazulu-natal are full and a little turbid. This off-coloured water makes the carp less spooky and generally they will feed better. Shongweni and Nagle dam are both producing some absolutely beautiful carp at the moment. These have been big fish for these waters, but they are also in fantastic health. Midmar and Albert Falls are producing for the Midlands boys. For more info, visit kingfisher. co.za.

Weekly tip: The central zone has been a bit quiet, with only a few flashes of action keeping the anglers happy.

TIDES, WINDS, ETC.: Sunrise: 6.01am; Sunset: 6.06pm; Temp: 23/29°C; Sea: 23.5°C; UV Risk: 2 (Low); Thunderstorms: 25%; Wind: 11km (E); Full Moon: April 19; Tides: Spring Tides (High); Low: 11.49am (0.2m); High:5.48am, 6.01pm (1.9). Sea: 2.4m swell.
