DENTIST Menolee Naidoo, 28, married Palvin Naidoo, 29, a commercial execution manager, on June 23 at the Mount Edgecombe Conference Centre.

HOW WE MET: Menolee: I was studying in Cape Town at the time, and on vacation at home. We were introduced through mutual friends and went on our first date in late December, 2014.

PROPOSAL & WEDDING: Menolee: On March 10 last year, I was whisked off to a supposed photoshoot at Makaranga Gardens with my sister and brother-inlaw. My parents were apparently attending a function and Palvi was en route to Durban with his mates. Only to arrive at the tranquil setting and be welcomed by a flash mob of the cutest little girls, and dearest family and friends each carrying a rose, the last being my dad, who handed me a note to turn around; as I did there he was, on one knee with a beautiful ring. We tried to incorporate a millennial’s touch to a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony. Contrary to the usual tradition of bridal colours, we opted for ivory outfits, and therefore chose gold and deep red for our theme and decor for an elegant winter contrast. Media
