Woman dies as couple falls 9 floors

ST PETERSBURG: A couple fell out of a window as they engaged in sexual intercourse on a window sill in St Petersburg on Friday, Russian media reported.

A neighbour living below who witnessed the tragedy told police she saw a TV set fly downwards, followed by a man and a woman.

Police officers arrived at the scene and found the woman lying dead on the pavement. Her partner was nowhere to be found and police presume that he fled the scene.

Preliminary investigation results suggest that the victim had been drinking with four men in the 9th floor flat. Later that night, she and one of the men apparently found themselves on the window sill and fell.

An investigation is under way, according to media reports.
