Another massive nationwide Telkom assets disposal
GOINDUSTRY Dovebid SA is until March 18 presenting another massive online property auction of 53 properties of its long-standing client, Telkom. The auction – following the successful disposal of 34 Telkom properties in November – will include commercial and industrial buildings, vacant plots and agricultural land in various parts of South Africa.
“We have now been working with Telkom since 2013 and are looking forward to another successful auction,” says Kim Faclier, managing director of property at Goindustry.
“With close on 180 properties over 20 auctions handled for Telkom over the years in total – raising hundreds of millions of rand – Goindustry has the collective experience to conduct online auctions, on-site disposals, boardroom-style auctions as well as private treaty sales. For this particular sale, the properties are being sold via our specialised online auction platform to reach bidders nationwide.”
The extensive portfolio of properties, scattered across South Africa, includes a few doublestorey buildings, premises currently being used by the Post Office, erven with single-storey buildings previously used as telecommunication centres, as well as vacant land with development potential. Most of the properties (15) are in Gauteng and include agricultural, commercial and industrial assets. For the rest, eight are in the Western Cape, three in Mpumalanga, five in Kwazulu-natal, one in Free State, eight in Limpopo, six in North West, two in the Northern Cape and five in Eastern Cape.
