DRC TO RETURN VACCINES
THE Democratic Republic of Congo will return 1.3 million of the 1.7 million doses of the Astrazeneca Covid-19 vaccines to the UN Children's Fund for redistribution to other African countries, the Eastafrican Magazine reported this week. The country received these through the Covax facility in March, but does not have a vaccination plan to support a campaign of this scale said Unicef regional advisor Susie Villeneuve, adding that this was to ensure use of the vaccines before their June 24 expiry date. | African News Agency (ANA)
