PARLIAMENT WANTS REASONS
MALAWI’S parliament has requested the Public Appointments Committee (PAC) to provide a report on why it rejected the confirmation of Martha Chizuma as a new director-general of the Anticorruption Bureau. Leader of the House Richard Chimwendo Banda asked why the committee conducted an interview, stating that Chizuma had already been interviewed. PAC members rated Chizuma 14 out of 25 points. She needed at least 17 points to be confirmed.
