The bedroom is the most important place to instil faith and love in a marital knot.

Hence, imbibing the rules of Vastu in the bedroom is most important.

Vastu tips for a blissful married life:

1. The bedroom should always be in a south-west or north-west direction as this will spark love and understanding between partners.

The other option would be south or west direction.

If possible, exact north-east direction should be avoided for a newly married couple. The regular shape (rectangle or square) of the bedroom is another feature to be followed.

2. The bed should be comfortable and a good quality one.

3. The colour of the room should be of light shades and the room should be uncluttered for soothing the ambience and making it conducive for love. Dark colours such as black, dark brown, dark grey etc must not be used on the bedroom walls.

4. As per Vastu, the wife should sleep on the left side of the bed and the husband should sleep on the right. This will ensure a smooth and loving relationship.

5. The colour red or elements with red colour should be added to the bedroom. The colour is the symbol of love and the colour will make sure that the relationship blossoms.

6. The mattress on the bed should be one double or larger. As per Vastu rule, this is important for instilling harmony and positivity in a marital relationship.

7. No electrical gadgets should find their way into your bedroom. Keep all of them, including your husband’s laptop, right outside the bedroom.

It will give your husband and you some time to spend with each other, away from office work or social media.

The electrical gadgets are known to increase tension and rifts between partners.

Still, if it’s compulsory to have the electrical gadgets, then keep them in your cupboard.

8. The most important step in a relationship is communication and it can be achieved by simply keeping your bedroom illuminated. Keep your room well lit for flowing communication and unflinching love.

9. The bedroom must be kept clean and should be uncluttered.

10. If your bed reflects in the mirror then the mirror should be avoided in the bedroom. You can keep or fix the mirror in the bedroom in such a way that your bed doesn’t reflect in the mirror.

11. Paintings that symbolise death, quarrels, violence or any negative aspect of life should be avoided.

12. Do not ever sleep under a beam or cupboard. It causes unnecessary pressure and is detrimental in terms of health.

13. One should constantly try to beautify their bedroom. One can keep the ornament of love-birds (in a pair) and a picture of peacocks.

14. The storage of the medicines should not in be your bedroom.

15. The husband must often give flowers to his wife. It will keep the spark in the marriage and strengthen the planet Venus in your horoscope. In Vedic astrology, Venus is considered the natural lord of love.

16. Astrologically, if you follow Hinduism then the couple should fast on all Mondays of the Sawan month.

17. Some special fasts are also recommended only for married women, such as the Karwa Chauth fast. It is a very important fast to have a blessed marriage.
