Big names behind Cassper’s ‘Fill Up’ concert in Joburg
WITH just under a month to go until Cassper Nyovest’s ambitious Fill Up FNB Stadium concert in Johannesburg, his arch-nemesis AKA has offered to be part of the spectacle.
AKA took to Twitter to offer a collaboration on the project, but the Tito Mboweni hitmaker said no thanks, instead calling on his rival of many years to “just buy a ticket”.
Cassper Nyovest is hoping to pack in 75 000 hip hop fans at the FNB Stadium in December.
Many of South Africa’s biggest entertainers are supporting the rapper as they try to sell 75 000 tickets. Prices range from R100 to R500 for the golden circle.
Rapper Kwesta tweeted: “Let’s support @Casspernyovest’s #Fillupfnbstadium pro bono and bona fide to show that our love for hip hop is greater than our love of money and fame,” he said.
Police Minister Fikile Mbalula was also on the “fill up” bus, tweeting: “(I) am going to support @Casspernyovest #Fillupfnbstadium am buying 10 tickets next week… Local is lekker mos.”
House DJ Black Coffee pledged to spend R20 000 on tickets and said he would release details on Thursday.
“I’ll be spending 20k on @ Casspernyovest’s #FILLUPFNB Stadium tickets for the fans every Friday till the show. #Justbuytheticketbroer”
Us-based actor Pearl Thusi also pledged 10 tickets. “Ok. I might not be able to go but I’ll buy 10 tickets and give them away to #Fillupfnbstadium. Let’s make history with @Casspernyovest!”
In a tweet to a fan, Nyovest said: “The plans of what’s gonna happen on stage have been confirmed though. If anyone wants to participate then they can buy a ticket. We appreciate all the support. #Justbuyaticketbroer”.
