SA TOURISTS WELL CONNECTED

-

SOUTH African travellers prefer to remain connected when away from home.

The Global Traveller Survey report released by Travelport this week showed that South African travellers used 17 different apps when travelling, with the most popular being banking and maps, followed by social media as they seek to remain connected.

The survey said nearly 75% used videos and photos posted by friends as part of their travel research on the internet, while about 69% believed a good digital experience was important when choosing an airline and 79% said digital boarding passes “made travel easier”. – Tawanda Karombo
