ESKOM’S group executive for customer services has been named as the winner of Africa’s Most Influential Women in Business and Government award.

Ayanda Noah won the award at this year’s CEO Global Annual Symposium held in Johannesburg this week.

Business leaders from the continent explored ways and means of creating prosperity on the continent.

“This award affirms that being a leader is meaningful when you positively impact those around you,” said Noah.

“I am encouraged to continue to positively influence my peers and everyone in business to do more in shaping our continent through our businesses and government institutions.

“I am honoured to have received the award and I would like to thank CEO Global for this recognition,” she said.

The event recognises Africa’s most influential individuals, lifetime achievers, country winners and regional winners, who become finalists for the continental award.

Eskom interim chief executive officer Sean Maritz said he was proud of Noah’s achievement.

“Eskom is proud to have Ayanda recognised as a leader who possesses extensive leadership skills.

“We are particularly proud of her dedication to her work and passion for growth and development of employees at all levels within the organisation.

“This affirms the critical role and expertise that women leaders play in the business,” he said.
