Self-styled “fitness bunnie” Sbahle Mpisane, who is spending her third month in hospital, is recovering well under the supervision of doctors.

That is according to her businessman father, Sbu Mpisane.

Sbahle was involved in an accident in August.

Her BMW 4 series crashed and caught fire on Margaret Mncadi Avenue (Victoria Embankment). She suffered multiple bone fractures.

“Sbahle does not have a phone with her in hospital and, therefore, is only available through my phone.

“However, she is recovering well and she will be out of hospital very soon,” said her father.

The Durban-based businessman said her recovery was long but successful.

“If someone suffers fractures like that, it takes three to six months to recover. Sbahle’s recovery is going through different stages.

“The first stage was to save her life and to heal her wounds, because she had severe injuries,” he said.
