‘I don’t want to divorce’

-

Q: I will be 27 years old on December 28. I have been in a relationship for four years. My parents have not approved of our relationship yet. We want to get married, but at the same time I also want everybody’s blessings and happiness too. I am going to India in December. I want to buy wedding cards as they are expensive and there are limited designs here. Do you have any suggestions on what I should look for when I am buying the cards? M

A: From November 4 next year when Jupiter moves into Sagittarius it will be time for marriage because it will transit from your seventh house (House of the Spouse) in your birth chart.

According to “Parashar Jyotish”, when this occurs in your horoscope, if the girl and boy are at the age of getting married it is confirmed they will get married. So, according to your birth chart, your parents will agree by the end of next year and 2020 will be the perfect year for you to get married.

As soon as Jupiter changes into Sagittarius, on the first Thursday you should talk to your parents, with respect, about the situation. Make sure you wear something yellow on that day and offer yellow sweets (like chana magaj) to any deity as parsad. They will agree as per your planets.

I will not do your compatibility test, as you have known each quite a long time and have already decided to marry. Do not let the result of a compatibility test determine or interfere with the future of your relationship.

I prefer to do a compatibility test when a relationship is young and, secondly, I would need consent from both parties.

Do the following to your wedding cards to make it more auspicious for those who follow Hinduism:

The card must have a picture of Lord Ganesha, and any one of the Ganesha mantras.

It must have a swastika and Aum sign.

It may also have a small picture of a banana plant (in a pair) and Kalash as a design or any other auspicious Hindu symbol or figure.

The card must be one of the following colours: reddish, yellowish, sindoor, orange, pink, cream or beige.

The first invitation must be addressed to Lord Ganesha and offered at the prayer place or the temple of Lord Ganesha.

The second invitation must be addressed to your favourite deity.

The first invitation to a guest must be written (name of person to invite) on a Wednesday which falls between the new and full moon or any other auspicious day according to Hinduism.

While writing the name on the wedding card, you must face East. In the earlier days people used to write with red ink, which was considered very auspicious. Nowadays, people prefer to print the name. Stick it on the card while facing east.

The number of cards printed should be an odd number and ending in 1. For example (21, 51, 101, 111, 121, 151, 201 etc.)

Q: I am going through a divorce at the moment but don’t wish to be separated from my husband. Please could you help me and advise me if I should do any fasting. KM

A: You sent me the wrong year (2018) as your date of birth, but there are some general tips I can suggest for the time being. Try to send me your correct year of birth. Here are the tips:

Fast every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and during a full moon. Every Thursday try to wear anything in yellow.

Try to put mehndi (henna) on your hand more often. It does not have to be an occasion.

Donate a pair of any peacock pictures or statues to any priest or couple, together with food and some money.

Q: I want to know why everything is blocked in my life. I am not able to finish my education and get a job. Even my health is getting bad. RM

A: You are really going through a tough time and it will continue until 2020. During this time it is very hard to get a permanent job. There are a lot of obstacles to your studies, but do not worry, in 2021 your luck will rise. I foresee a very nice job in 2022 and sound health, progress, success and continuous improvement in your career thereafter.

Between 2022 to 2025, you will get positive, miraculous results as per your planetary alignment.

Do the following faithfully to reduce the time frame or intensity of your bad luck:

Read the Sunderkand every Tuesday and Saturday until 2019.

Chant Om Namah Shivaya 30 minutes daily.

Fast on every Saturday until 2020. Do not get involved in any arguments or discussions.

Drive slowly, eat lead a positive lifestyle.

On every new moon that falls generally once a month give food or loaves of bread to the poor. Only eat your lunch thereafter. healthily and
