It’s going to be a busy year...

- Capricorn (December 22 - January 20) Aquarius (January 21 - February 18) Pisces (February 19 - March 20)

When it comes to fighting spirit, you’re fully armed this week. As you become more willing to try anything new, solutions to old problems surface. Just don’t be so wrapped up in your own affairs that loved ones feel neglected. Expect a week of acute self-questioning as thought processes undergo a steady but deep psychological change. A change of attitude, too, towards siblings and friends. Some may find that their intuition is heightened. You can finally let out that heartfelt sigh of relief. It’s been a traumatic time for you and the world which you so dearly cherish. This week is all about forgiving and forgetting. I GUESS I should start by wishing you a great start to 2019 and my hopes that it will be a good year.

But I just recently realised that people find it so easy to roll their eyes while you wish them all the best for the year. A friend sent a broadcast text, saying that we can’t wish each other a great year ahead after January 5. Not that anyone listened to him, but it’s clearly a thing for many people, which I find really strange.

Anyway, here’s to you good one.

This is probably going to be one of the busiest years in recent history. We have the South African general election this year, which will result in a lot of changes with regards to how Parliament is going to look. There are going to be more young people voting for the first time, whose politics differ from their parents, and I’m certain that will change how our government is going to look.

Abroad, we will have the first bi-racial British royal baby when Meghan Markle gives birth in April. While I’m having a

excited for her, I’m not looking forward to the horrible things people will be tweeting about her and the baby, so I hope she will have a solid support structure around her making sure she doesn’t read what the haters are saying. Serena, Priyanka, Oprah and Amal need to have her back at all times.

Then we have Rihanna releasing her new music, something her fans have waited for in what seems to be an eternity. It’s been three years since the release of Anti and it’s time for new music.

It’s also the 10th anniversary of Michael Jackson’s death this year, so I’m expecting a lot of documentaries, books and new music about the epochal musician.

We all know how Hollywood loves a reboot, so I’m certain some iconic TV show or film will be redone this year. BET is already remaking the cult favourite rom-com Boomerang. Halle Berry, who starred in the film, is executive-producing the TV comedy alongside Lena Waithe.

And for SM this year? Well, expect some really striking pictures, interesting stories, more insightful features and, as always, a fun read that can be enjoyed by the whole family.

You are always welcome to email or tweet me with your feedback on the stories we have and suggestions on what you would like to see in these pages.

Have a great week! @Buhlebonga
