This is no lady – she’s a ‘bad boy’

- ASHWEN SINGH

THE Nissan 350Z, also known as the “Fairlady”, can still easily pass as a member of the supercar pack. With its aggressive “bad boy” styled tail lights and ferocious front end, the 350Z is not a car that is easily vanquished.

Vicario Harilal, 21, is the proud owner of this week’s formidable 2004 Nissan 350z “Fairlady”.

Harilal, who is completing a postgraduate degree in finance, hails from Kharwastan in Chatsworth. He enjoys gaming, watching English football team Chelsea – and working on his car.

His “Fairlady” features a minimal but effective upgrade to the car’s retrofitted imported, naturally aspirated, 3.5 litre, fuel-injected V6 engine. This upgrade comes mainly by way of a K&N flatbed performance air filter, a Saluda clutch and a full stainless steel performance exhaust system installation.

In terms of suspension, Harilal opted to retain the car’s alreadystealthy factory-spec’d ride height.

In addition, the car retains its OEM kitted Brembo braking system.

Harilal’s car also sports the form and functional merits of a tetrad of 19-inch Volk Racing mag wheels with 8.5j 225-35ZR19 A-plus rubbers in the front and 9.5j 245-35ZR19 Pace Alventi rubbers at the rear.

The car sports a JDM tow bar as well as yellow Laminex colourchanging tint on the headlights.

As with most performance cars, none can be complete without a killer sound system. This one is certainly no exception.
