AFRO-POP chanteuse Tina Mkwaiwa spent a painful night in a Limpopo hospital with minor injuries after crashing her car

– allegedly while chasing after her hubby’s alleged lover.

It is understood the troubled Mkwaiwa was in a cat-and-mouse chase with her husband Prosper Mkwaiwa ’ s alleged floozie, known only as Brenda, in Polokwane on Friday night.

Tina’s friend, who refuses to be named, says Tina and Brenda had a catfight outside Meropa Casino in Limpopo, where they were showcasing their talents.

This after Tina accused Brenda of “hostessing” Prosper behind her back.

Sensing blood, Brenda solicited help from her springbok feet and jumped into another man’s vehicle, which then sped off.

Tina blitzed into her hired VW Polo, cranked it up and applied her two cent Michael Schumacher skills.

A dramatic highspeed car chase followed.

The source says Tina lost control of the car, which veered off the road and overturned.

She sustained injuries to her solar plexus and was rushed to a local hospital.

She was transferred to Bronkhorstspruit hospital but it turned out her injuries were not serious and she was released yesterday.

Prosper confirms his wife was involved in a car accident but says he is still in the dark about the cause of the crash.

“I’m still trying to

‘ I ’ m still trying to understand what happened ’

understand what happened,” he says.

Meanwhile, on a more tragic note, kwaito star Mshoza’s estranged husband, Jacob Mnisi, and his family had a black Friday after Mnisi’s younger brother, Nicolas Mnisi, was killed in car crash on Thursday night.

Nicolas crashed and died while driving Mshoza’s luxury sports coupe.

A family friend, who asked not to be named, says Nicolas went to Mshoza’s Witbank house, borrowed the songbird’s Mercedez Benz SLK500 and drove to Middelburg, where he attended a business meeting.

He was in the company of an unnamed female colleague.

After the meeting, Nicolas, who was said to be in a convivial mood, hit the road back to Witbank.

It is alleged that he lost control of the vehicle and it collided with a truck.

Nicolas and the female passenger died on impact.

“My husband and I are devastated by his untimely death.

“We are struggling to cope with the news of his death but I will give my husband the support he deserves so that he can pull through this,” says a distraught Mshoza.

The family had not finalised funeral arrangements at the time of going to press.
