KAIZER JNR WEDS
Striker to tie the knot in Münich
KAIZER Chiefs striker Kaizer Motaung Jnr will walk down the aisle in a wedding of cosmic proportions in Münich, Germany, on Saturday.
Motaung Jnr will exchange vows with his long time sweetheart Kathrine Heider in a wedding that has been kept hush hush by the media-shy player.
The nuptials will take place two years after Motaung Jnr secretly got engaged to Heider in Jozi. Motaung and Heider were last year blessed with a baby boy named Tyler Rhys Motaung.
Sunday World can reveal that Motaung and his relatives left the country on Friday to begin with preparations for the intercontinental matrimony.
Chiefs chairman Kaizer Motaung will fly to Europe during the week to join the rest of the guests and other family members.
It is understood that former Amakhosi midfielder Gerald Sibeko is going to be Motaung Jnr’s best man.
Motaung Jnr is also said to have played the same role when Sibeko got married.
Motaung Jnr and Heider met when he was playing football in Germany in the early 2000s. She joined him when he returned to South Africa to play for his family club, Chiefs.
The two lovebirds could not be reached for comment but Kaizer Motaung senior confirms that Heider will become his daughter-in-law officially when the two take the matrimonial plunge on Saturday.
“It’s a great achievement for them as a couple and we wish them luck.
“These things happen in life and as a family we are happy for them. I will leave during the week to join them in Germany,” says the Chiefs supremo.
