SCANDAL! AWAITS MASEBE
FLORENCE IN PRIME TIME SOAP
FORMER Muvhango actress Florence Masebe has landed two lucrative roles in e.tvs ’prime time soapie Scandal! and in Mzansi Magic s prime time ’ tele-novella Inkaba.
A source close to the talented actress says Masebe was ecstatic about clinching the two new roles, especially Scandal! because it has a bigger audience than Muvhango.
She received a call last “Friday from her agent, who told her that Scandal! was offering her a role as part of taking the soapie to another level. You see, I understand her “excitement because she had just signed to act in Inkaba , in which she plays the role of Grace, says her friend, who ” does not want to be named.
Masebe confirms that she will be joining Scandal! and Inkaba . I can confirm now that I “have signed with Scandal! but I don t have all the details. ’ But yes, it is a bigger “ stage for me given that it is one of the biggest soapies in the TV world and I m looking ’ forward to it,” Masebe says.
She also confirms that she has joined Inkaba and says she is enjoying her new role. I love the people I work “with there. They are so welcoming and friendly,” she says.
e.tv head of communications Motlapulana Ragoasha confirms that Masebe will join the soapie. She plays one “of the NZH shareholders,” says Ragoasha. But attempts to solicit comments from the Inkaba producers have drawn a blank. A seasoned actress, Masebe starred in the initial seasons of SABC1 s Genera’ tions, made a big splash in Muvhango and featured in 7de Laan on SABC2, She also played Sis Noni in the 11th season of the SABC1 HIV-AIDS drama series Soul City and was a continuity presenter on SABC2 s Fokus current affairs programme.
