PAPI ’ S GIRL DUMPS FOOTIE
FORMER Bafana Bafana midfielder Papi Zothwane might have not simply taken an off-season break of late.
It could be that the footie is kicking over the traces of matters of the heart.
Zothwane and his breathtaking girlfriend Nondalo Ndlovu allegedly broke up after she caught him bonking another lass.
This was revealed by Ndlovu ’ s close friend, whom the heart-broken lass phoned for advice after the incident about three weeks ago.
The friend also reveals that Ndlovu, who was staying rent-free at Zothwane’s Strubens Valley house in Roodepoort, vacated the crib after the incident.
The University of Johannesburg student is now living in a student commune in Melville, Jozi.
Speaking to Sunday World this week, the friend, who did not want to be named for fear of victimisation, says the love-struck Ndlovu moved into Zothwane ’ s house early this year after the Mamelodi Sundowns player set off for Free State to join Bloemfontein Celtic on loan.
“Nondalo was staying in a commune in Melville but wanted to move out after a cat fight with her housemate.
“She told Papi she was looking for accommodation and he asked her to go stay at his house as it had been empty since he moved to Bloemfontein.
“She said Papi visited her on weekends and the two spent quality time together,” says the friend.
The friend says Ndlovu told them Zothwane was so madly in love with her that he even bought her groceries and sent her taxi fare.
But then the two had a series of tiffs as Ndlovu is an Orlando Pirates fan and male supporters would pick her up from Zothwane’s house and that did not sit well with Zothwane, says the source.
“They used to take her to stadiums to watch soccer and this angered Papi.
“When Papi complained, they fought and Nondalo threatened to move out but she never carried out that threat, ” says the source.
Convinced that she had moved out of his house, Zothwane allegedly rocked up at his crib with another chick, with whom he romped.
“Nondalo returned from visiting friends and found Papi and the woman in the act.
“She told us that she freaked out and stormed out of the house,” says the friend.
Contacted for comment, Ndlovo flips: If you publish that story I will sue you.”
Zothwane says: I know that woman.
We broke up a long time ago because things did not work out after she moved to Durban.
The long distance made it difficult for the relationship to work.
I fell in love with her when I was playing for Sundowns but I have moved on.
I have a kid and just got married and it is not true that she was staying in my house.”
