‘ n all that pizazz

-

BECAUSE Elizabeth Arden is in show-off mode, they requested Shwashwi s presence

’ at the opening of their new Red Door Spa at Edgars in Sandton City.

Their first global Flagship Counter and Studio ... a first of its kind in Mzansi ... yadda yadda blah blah...

But we only spent 10 minutes at the studio. The actual dooh was at JB s Corner.

’ And no, the studio s not a huge

’ establishment with leather chairs it s a

– ’ tiny room where one can get a facial and a massage. But it s stun

’ ningly gorgeous.

There were some fab guests too.

Saw new mommy model Rosette Mogomotsi looking good enough to eat.

Which prompts moi to ask what she s been eat

’ ing or doing to remain so yummy. I m almost ... actually ’ entirely ... jealous.

She spent half the evening with model Precious Makgaretsa, who s also too

’ hot for words. But did they have to sit in the corner and be anti-social? Snobs or shy-sters?

Another schleb who looked fab was make-up artist Nthato Mashishi.

He was all in black and chunky gold chains and surrounded by crowds of wannebe beauties probably asking for make-up advice.

Babe, I think you should start charging for that valuable information.

Was surprised to see socialite Jen Su, who was so omnipresent at some point it was depressing.

Thank goodness she was dressed appropriately in a black shirt, LV scarf, gold mini, leggings and stunning boots.

Moi says this because she has a tendency to overdress you know,

– ball gowns and big hats... Rrrrrrrrr... Sorry, those memories make me shudder.

Hah! Was waiting for the fashion police to march in and handcuff Elizabeth A s ambassador

’ Lerato Moloi.

She rocked up in a blue and white summer dress. She clearly thinks winter is a rumour.

I remember promising to frequent the spa on my way out but will I manage with this fabulously busy life of mine?

Had to rush out and head to the Lekgotla restaurant in Nelson Mandela Square for Rhythm City’s 5th birthday... SOMEONE say lukewarm

“” please.

And what was up with the whole sit-down business at the Rhythm City dooh?

Moi was expecting to let my hair down at some club in Braamfontein. I mean, isn t Rhythm City

’ aimed at the youth?

Not to say it was depressing. In fact it was quite fun.

The lack of sizzle and rush was probably because Jamie Bartlett wasn t there.

’ Moi was heartbroken. Shwashwi was gonna attempt another marriage proposal, seeing that he said no the last time.

Be warned, Jamie: moi is patient and persistent.

Oh dear, maybe he knows that. That s why he didn t

’ ’ pitch... Scared of luuur ve, Jamie? Back to those who made it.

The girls sure have rhythm, as they proved with their opening performance.

KB Motsilanyane first did a solo and was then joined by Nokuthula Ledwaba, Amo Chidi, Tebogo and Samela Tyelbooi for a rendition of Brenda Fassie s Weekend Special.

’ Amo Chidi showed off more than her beautiful vocal cords when her teeny weeny black dress revealed her tangerine undies. Yhu!

As for Tebogo, stick to acting, hun, you re so much bet

’ ter at it. Next up was e.tv s head

’ of channel Monde Twala making use of his bragging rights to sing the series endless

’ praises.

He gave us a glimpse of past and upcoming episodes. Dramatic, that s all I m will

’ ’ ing to say. I refuse to give anymore free advertising.

Spotted Pam Andrews in a white knee-length flowing dress.

Shwashwi thinks you looked absolutely ravishing. But moi wishes you d given

’ out a few more details about your new baby.

Actually, why were you so quiet?

Maybe because Peter Sephuma was doing all the talking.

Peter also took pics with everyone, including speechless groupies.

Pity there was no dance floor because moi knows from experience he would ve set it ablaze.

’ Another chatty duo was Lucia Mthiyane and Kelly Khumalo.

Their lingo was so coded that I could barely understand what they were on about, despite eavesdropping for what seemed like eternity. Yes, I like other people s

’ news.

Lucia, shame on you for being so hot, hey. Um, sorry, what s up

’ with cutting the cake after half the guests had left? Not enough to go around? Talk about Stingy City.
