Dazzling dames
AND A MIXED BAG OF HUNKY DORY
NEVER mind the political meltdowns that were happening on June 16 when
– the sun sets someone has to party.
Socialite Joyce Molamu put on a surprise birthday bash for her sissie Poppy at Envy, a private gentleman s club in
’ Sandton, northern Jozi.
Despite the highveld winter there was plenty of flesh showing through the black-themed dress code.
The dooh was fabulous and we danced the night away but, as usual, there were some who turned up in full colour. Zizi Kodwa s wife Zama
’ turned up in a long green dress. In the past Zizi s name has been
’ linked to Joyce.
But there she was, enjoying herself to the fullest. Didn t she know it was Joyce s
’ ’ dooh?
Spotted the new Mr South Africa Andrew Govender a Dur
– banite who now resides in Bassonia, south of Joburg.
He kept himself entertained with Mr South Africa organiser Rudi Barker, who now sports the monicker Rudi Blackdiamond.
Shame, Mr South Africa resonates with the public as much as desert with grass and plants.
His fame is as massive as coke on the planet Mars. What a waste.
And there was the irrepressible Joyce herself, sipping Moët & Chandon and puffing Cubans cigars, all in the spirit of fun.
Dudu Kiti was fabulous in her mini-dress and bling necklace.
Poppy entered her fourth decade dressed in a bling-bling gold mini-dress and was as jumpy as a Jack-in-the-box.
Her dance suggested she might have been trying to lure her beau Werner Stein to the dance floor.
The couple has been long engaged with a two-year old kid. But Stein didn t budge.
’ He wouldn t even move
’ from his seat.
A wonderful night, with men and women in black!
