WHEN THE KIDS DO IT IT ’ S SO TRANSPARENT

-

OH bilge, it s small boys fighting

’ “” again. ANC Youth League politics gets boring.

The ANC in Mpumalanga want the leadership disbanded, which isn t a bad idea considering the

’ vindictive-mindedness and squabbling in the organisation.

While the DA looks rather held up in terms of leadership, to some the party holds the template of success the soundness of integrity and

– competence. They also point to the fact that when the DA fights no one knows the internal sordid details.

While the tiny ANCYL cabal the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), aka Juju and company, aka the little FOC-kers, are tussling to get a grip

It’s Batman and Robin and a bunch of jokers, all squabbling to get their preferred big boy in power – the one who will watch their gang’s back, writes MADALA THEPA

on that political greasy pole. To those who weren t around

’ when the political sphere was drenched with the snake oil of the Forces of Change (FOC), its fictional leading characters are believed to be the local Batman and Robin Hood, aka Juju and Floyd Shivambu.

I guess it goes without saying that the small boys are making

“” dangerous forays into the Big Dick

“Theory mine is big, yours small

”– – hah hah hah hah hah!

The little FOC-kers want change in leadership, change on the socio-political scene but they don t

’ know how to get there without tilting at windmills.

Using his language arts, Juju apparently called ANCYL deputy president (acting president) Ronald Lamola a small boy and traitor ”.

“” “He is quoted saying Lamola will

“never lead the youth league ... with his selling-out tendencies ”. The cause of the small boys

“” fighting is believed to be the meddling of minister Tokyo Sexwale.

The young ones are apparently torn on who to support for the deputy presidency of the ANC.

The fight looks insignificant on the ground but when weighed against benefits in the long run, it sounds legit.

The other point is that, appar- ently small boy Lamola wants to

“” turn coat and coerce other small

“boys and little tractable girls in the

” league to support president Jacob Zuma, who in turn will have the good sense to support him in his new ambition of becoming the president of the youth league.

It sounds stupid but this is how politics roll you help a friend and

– walk him through the afternoon fog and in turn he will help you through the lonely nights.

The idea is to build an impenetrable bubble and hope that another cabal doesn t burst it.

’ So it will be good that the current leadership be disbanded and we get new people who sound rather smart when on a podium.
